  • First indigenous spine implant system tested to international protocols (ASTM) and benchmarked with contemporary systems.
  • First indigenously designed spine stabilization system tested for screw bending strength (ZETA Spine System)
 
1996 - 2000
  • First Indian orthopaedic company to embark on a long term implant project (ResTOR Modular Resection system) to develop implants for bone tumor patients in a collaborative effort with surgeons from Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai.
  • First Indian orthopaedic company to receive the ISO 9000 quality system certification.
    • Launch of the Adler trauma implant range. Manufactured from certified stainless steel meeting international standards (ISO/ASTM), this was the first time implants meeting all international requirements were available to Indian patients from an Indian orthopaedic company.
    • First Indian orthopaedic company to take up an Indian surgeon innovation (UMEX – Mini Fixator System) for global promotion.
 
1980 - 1995
  • First Indian orthopaedic company to enter into a manufacturing collaboration (with the Landanger Group, France) targeting technology transfer for more sophisticated products and a more global footprint.
  • First Indian orthopaedic company to be licensed by a global major (Acromed Corp., USA) to manufacture spine implants (VSP spine system) for the Indian market.
  • First company in the industry to standardize the use of 316L stainless steel for all implants. First company in the industry to commence marking of the company logo on each implant.
  • First company in the industry to commence industrial radiography of implants manufactured through the “investment casting” route, to identify internal defects
